News and Information About PBportal.org!

PBportal.org News!

Aug 17, 2001: We are pleased to announce the addition of a sister site to PBportal.org. This site is PBsermons.or and will be a database of Real Audio sermons. We have allocated one gigabyte of disk space for this project which should allow us to upload more than 100 sermons for online listening. Bro. Chris Folsom is heading up this effort from the recording and encoding side. I, Elder Marty Hoskins, will assist with site layout and database design. It is currently in it's infancy, but will grow. You will note that we currently only have a page holder there, but eventually there will be a searchable site with sermons indexed by speaker, title, and key words.

Apr 16, 2001: The front page to this site has now been redone. We will be "tweaking" it as we move ahead. You will note that we have added free web based email as a service. You can have a yourname@pbportal.org email address. We have also added a Google "SafeSearch" search box at the bottom of the page. We are working on a Primitive Baptist specific search engine. We have a suggestion: Make PBportal.org your start page so that you come here first after logging on!!

Apr 14, 2001: Our objective is to make PBportal.org a source of news and information for and about Primitive Baptists across the world. However, we need your help! This is an interactive website, so please submit your news, meetings, and prayer requests. Come back here for notices on other services as they become available.

How PBportal.org got started!

This project actually began sometime ago in the far reaches of my mind. It started almost a year ago when I began doing the research to put up a website for the church that I Pastor. I had felt led for some time to do a website similar to this one that would be of service to our people. (to be continued)
